JYC Girls Impact Foundation

JYC Girls Impact Foundation (JYCGIF)  is a charitable organisation focused on educating, inspiring, equipping, and ultimately empowering teen girls to become “future ready leaders” – proactive, digitally savvy decision makers who make a lasting, positive impact everywhere they go.

Today’s Teen Girls, Tomorrow’s Leaders!

JYCGIF is driven by the knowledge that today’s teen girls are tomorrow’s leaders, and is committed to levelling the playing field for women by creating leadership development and STEM learning opportunities that foster teen girls’ skills and mindsets to prepare them to pursue all 21st-century opportunities. JYCGIF provides teen girls with a variety of STEM learning and leadership development opportunities that rest on three pillars: “Future-Ready Leadership Development”, “STEM Exposure and Skills” and “Education Access”.

In addition to outreach efforts like university scholarships, informative school talks, and a Summer Camp for future ready leaders, JYCGIF launched 10,000 Girls4Girls Coding+ (G4G Coding+), a global community outreach initiative empowering teen girls through the “train the trainer” model. Girls participating in this programme learn coding and other programming languages of the future, receive university and career preparation, enjoy networking opportunities, and develop vital leadership skills. Through G4G Coding+, JYCGIF aims to inspire, equip and ultimately empower 10,000 teen girls in the coming years to approach every possible career path as future ready leaders.

Every Girl is a FutureGEN Girl

With leadership as one of the focal points of G4G Coding+, JYCGIF also held The FutureGEN Girls Leadership Summit! The inaugural leadership conference drew girls aged 14-18 and educators from across Hong Kong. The summit theme – “A Journey to Your Near Future” – beamed teen girls up to a future of their own making. The conference drew students and educators to keynote addresses and panel discussions led by trailblazers, as well as skill-building workshops that explore both the power and versatility of technology and core leadership values. Teen girls attending the summit felt empowered to fulfill their boundless potential, connected to their peers, and motivated to start their own clubs, businesses, or interest groups.
