CTFEG was established in 2017 within the family office of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises (CTFE). CTFE and its leadership team have enjoyed a long, celebrated history of involvement in education for over 40 years. From becoming a school-sponsoring body to supervising and managing K-12 schools, engaging in education philanthropy and research, and making education investments, to name a few key areas, CTFE’s many and varied education-related activities have operated independently of one another but, when taken together, have played a crucial role in impacting the kindergarten to secondary (K-12) education space in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Dr. Cheng Kar-Shun, Henry GBM, GBS

Chairman

Dr. Henry Cheng is the Chairman of CTF Education Group. Dr. Cheng was appointed as Director of New World Development Company Limited in October 1972, Executive Director in 1973, became Managing Director from 1989 and Chairman from March 2012. Dr. Cheng is a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the New World Development Company Limited. Dr. Cheng is the Chairman and Executive Director of NWS Holdings Limited and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, the Chairman and Non-executive Director of FSE Lifestyle Services Limited (formerly known as FSE Services Group Limited), and the Vice-chairman and Non-executive Director of i-CABLE Communications Limited, all of them are listed public companies in Hong Kong.

He was a Non-executive Director of SJM Holdings Limited and DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited up to his retirement on 11 June 2019 and resignation on 19 March 2021 respectively, and the Chairman and Non-executive Director of New World Department Store China Limited up to his resignation on 13 May 2021, all of them are listed public companies in Hong Kong. Dr. Cheng is a Director and Honorary Chairman of New World China Land Limited and a Director of certain subsidiaries of the New World Group. He is a Director of Cheng Yu Tung Family (Holdings) Limited, Cheng Yu Tung Family (Holdings II) Limited, Chow Tai Fook Capital Limited, Chow Tai Fook (Holding) Limited and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited, all of them are substantial shareholders of the Company.

Dr. Cheng is the Chairman of the Advisory Council for The Better Hong Kong Foundation. He was a Standing Committee Member of the Twelfth Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of The People’s Republic of China. Dr. Cheng was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star and the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2001 and 2017 respectively by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Jennifer Yu Cheng

Group President and Deputy Vice Chairwoman

Jennifer Yu Cheng is passionate about education and has been committed to promoting educational development for more than a decade. Jennifer is Group President and Deputy Vice Chairwoman of CTF Education Group (CTFEG) and is responsible for the group’s strategy.

Jennifer is currently Supervisor of Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO), School Supervisor and School Manager of DSC International School, School Manager of Delia Memorial Schools and Board Member of Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong. As Supervisor and Member of The School Management Committee of VEO, Jennifer has been leading the school’s strategic plan and introducing world-class early childhood educational resources into VEO classrooms, as well as partnerships with global institutions, like Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Jennifer also serves on the board and as committee member of universities globally and in Hong Kong. She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Group of Harvard Graduate School of Education; and Board of Visitors of the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University, while serving as the Co-Chair of its Asia Advisory Group. Jennifer is a council member at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She is also Chairman of HKUST Institutional Advancement and Outreach Committee, and a member of HKUST’s Standing Committee and Finance Committee, Joint Meeting of the Council Committee on HKUST (Guangzhou), HKUST Business School Advisory Council, Knowledge Transfer Committee and the Board of HKUST Foundation. She is also a member of the Court of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), the Election Complaint Committee of HKU and the Court of Lingnan University.

In 2009, Jennifer co-founded ARCH Education, an expert education institute based in Hong Kong. ARCH’s mission is to bridge the education gap through transformational programmes. She later established ARCH Community Outreach (ACO), a non-profit organisation dedicated to expanding Hong Kong students’ exposure and access to international education opportunities, with a particular outreach focus on supporting and sponsoring under-resourced high achievers in Hong Kong in gaining admission and scholarships to top universities overseas.

Jennifer is Founder of the JYC Girls Impact Foundation (JYCGIF), a charitable organisation on a unique mission to uplift the status of women in society by building the strongest pipeline of teenage girls who are both inspired and equipped with the future ready resources, skills and mindset to become tomorrow’s leaders. As of June 2023, over 3,000 teenage girls from schools across Hong Kong had benefited from Foundation programmes and initiatives.

In 2024, Jennifer founded the FutureGen Girls Foundation and launched The FutureGen Young Women Leaders Award, which not only recognises teen girls’ accomplishments, but also creates a cross-industry ecosystem committed to opening doors for youth to support their development. Supporting the development and advancement of women in Hong Kong, Jennifer is also a non-official member of the Women’s Commission.

Jennifer is Director of The WEMP Foundation and “Share for Good”, New World Development's crowd donation platform, and serves as Chairperson of the “Share for Good” Youth and Ethnic Minority Committee. She is also a non-official member of the Commission on Children, Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Choate Club, Member of Victoria Shanghai Academy’s Academic Planning and Development Committee, Member of Asia Pacific Leadership Council of The Nature Conservancy, and Honorary Patron and Hong Kong School Affairs Advisor of Love Foundation.

In 2021, Jennifer was named one of Prestige magazine's “40 Under 40”, has been recognised on Tatler’s “Asia's Most Influential Lists” and received Tatler’s Front & Female Award in 2022 and numbered among JESSICA’s “Most Successful Women” in 2023 for her work empowering teen girls through education, which is contributing to a talent pipeline of women leaders of the future.

Jennifer received her Master of Education from Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Operations Research and a minor in Economics. Prior to her career in education, Jennifer was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities division.

Jennifer Ma

Group Chief Strategy Officer

As Group Chief Strategy Officer at CTF Education Group (CTFEG), Jennifer leads the execution of key business development projects and establishes strategic global alliances. Her education expertise is considerable and diverse, with experience in both hands-on delivery and high-level strategic development.

Since co-founding ARCH Education in 2009, a top tier independent educational institute, Jennifer has been instrumental, together with some of the world’s top schools and universities, in crafting the transformational curricula and bespoke counselling behind ARCH’s unique educational programmes.

In 2021, Jennifer established the World of Work (WOW) to mobilise diverse resources from stakeholders, including industry practitioners, educators, researchers, faculty members and students, to bring innovative practices and opportunities into the classroom and create a pipeline of students equipped and inspired to pursue careers in a wide variety of tech-forward industries.

Bringing her years of experience and vision into focal point, Jennifer is part of the senior leadership team establishing the Education Hub in Guangzhou. Its opening in 2024 marks the beginning of a long term vision bringing together global resources, including learners, faculty, scholars and industries to make a sustainable impact on K-12 education. Through its Future Research Institute, Jennifer leads different teams to pursue ongoing pedagogical research and development; and in its inaugural year, the Education Hub Campus programmes offer unique immersive learning experiences in Performing Arts, Innovation and Chinese Culture.

Jennifer also serves as Honourary Executive Supervisor of Benenden Schools (China). She connected CTFEG and Benenden School to be the strategic advisors of Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou, the first experimental school located at the Education Hub vowed to put theory into practice by bringing a “Future Ready Complete Education" to GBA, providing a quality, purpose-driven education in China that centres on future-readiness. As a Benenden School alumnus Jennifer undertakes a supervisory role to ensure Benenden School’s values and educational ethos, as well as CTF Education Group’s, are well integrated into the local context.

Beyond taking on the role of Benenden Hong Kong Trustee, Jennifer is also a member of the University of Oxford Pembroke College Alumni Advisory Board and the Pembroke College Ossulston Circle. Jennifer participated in the Panel of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund, and conducted interviews at The University of Hong Kong for undergraduates applying for Visiting Student positions at Oxford.

Throughout the duration of her career, Jennifer has committed herself to a wide range of youth-focused community service work. Since 2019, Jennifer has served as Council Member of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Jennifer also co-founded ARCH Community Outreach (ACO), the charitable arm of ARCH Education, to help high-achieving students from under-resourced backgrounds to maximise their opportunities in applying to top UK and US universities, as well as to broaden students’ international exposure through the Hong Kong Inter-School Mock Trial Championship and the Global Aspiring Medic Conference.

Jennifer articulates her passion for education by contributing articles to a wide range of media outlets, including the South China Morning Post Education Post, Jessica, Hong Kong Economic Journal, Hong Kong Economic Times, Tatler Schools Guide, Radio Television Hong Kong and other media; she has also travelled throughout the region to deliver education-related talks with Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. In 2014, Jennifer co-authored the best-selling “Boarding Schools: What You Need to Know”, presenting comprehensive and practical advice about boarding school.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in Economics and Management (B.A., M.A. Oxon) and was the President of the Guild Society. She achieved a Master of Education at The University of Hong Kong and recently achieved the Certificate in Early Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to pursuing her passion for education, Jennifer worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Simon Wong

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer of CTF Education Group (CTFEG), Simon Wong oversees the overall financial strategy of CTFEG to ensure the sustainable growth and development of CTFEG’s schools and business units.

Simon is passionate about education and believes that the development of children’s social responsibility is an essential part of education to equip our young generation to explore, contribute, and give back to the society. He serves as School Manager of DSC International School and Delia Memorial Schools, and also Board Director of The FutureGen Girls Foundation, a charitable organisation on a mission to empower young women and close the gender gap in leadership.

Simon comes to CTFEG with two decades of experience in the financial sector, serving previously as Chief Financial Officer of Huashang Education Group / Edvantage Group Holdings Limited, responsible for the overall project management of the pre-IPO reorganisation and IPO which led to the company’s listing on the Hong Kong Mainboard in July 2019, as well as the overall financial management of the Huashang Education Group’s education business across China, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore.

He took the lead in the acquisition of two schools in China, two kindergartens in Melbourne, Australia, as well as a vocational school in Singapore from 2016 to 2023. Simon took an active role in the preparation and opening of a K-12 school and a kindergarten in Guangzhou. He was a Founding Member of both the Greater Bay Youth Career Development Association, as well as the Sichuan and Chongqing (Hong Kong) Youth Career Development Association. Simon was a Qualification Programme (QP) workshop facilitator for the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, playing a role in grooming young accountants.

Simon’s professional experience spans a number of finance industries: He was a consultant for MCL Financial Group Limited; Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for a few listed companies in Hong Kong and Singapore; and a senior accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Simon graduated from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) since 2001 and became a Practising Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FCPA) in 2002.

Tony Mok

Chief Technology Officer

Tony Mok is the Chief Technology Officer of CTF Education Group with over 25 years of professional experience delivering information technology solutions to leading companies. Tony is today charged with implementing inventive, new IT solutions for the schools and education institutions affiliated with CTFEG. As a tech strategist, he aims to provide excellent end-user experience by adopting and implementing diverse advanced technologies through local and global IT vendors to shore up robust business operations and consistent work productivity. In addition to new technology, Tony is experienced in change management, with a long track record of launching successful platforms that significantly improved the business culture and behaviour of the entire group.

Prior to joining CTFEG, he worked as the Chief Information Officer of Dah Chong Hong Limited, the Head of IT of Hopewell Holdings Limited, and led the IT department in several listed companies with a focus on digital transformation in Hong Kong, Mainland China and South East Asia.

Tony received his Master of Science with Distinction in Electronic Commerce from Middlesex University and graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems. After that, Tony devoted himself to education as a Lecturer of Master of Project Management and tutor of Bachelor of Project Management at the University of South Australia. He was also the tutor of the Diploma and Higher Diploma in Information Systems and E-commerce at the School of Continuing Education of Hong Kong Baptist University.

Tony is passionate about community outreach and empowering young learners to be “future ready”. He is currently Curriculum Advisor at JYC Girls Impact Foundation and Award Nomination Committee Member of the FutureGen Young Women Leaders Award. He served as Vice President of the International Association of Project and Program Management (Hong Kong and Greater China), IT Advisor of Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey, as well as Business Volunteer of Junior Achievement Hong Kong. Tony is also a well-recognised leader in the IT community and has been a frequent speaker at seminal conferences and events focused on digitisation and change management. He is also a full member of the Hong Kong Computer Society and Knowledge Management Development Centre.

Dr. Arnett Edwards

Founding Director School Leadership Academy

Dr. Arnett Edwards is Director of the School Leadership Academy (“The Academy”). Building on CTFEG's vision: to empower the next generation to become future ready, the Academy is dedicated to supporting the leadership development of educators in Asia and beyond. In his new role, Dr. Edwards seeks to develop a professional educators Academy with an Asian focus, to strengthen and enhance the leadership capabilities of educators in the region.

Dr. Edwards is a highly respected education leader with a wealth of experience in international and community education. Having had substantial leadership roles in a number of schools in Hong Kong for the past 25 years and significantly served from 2011 to 2023 as Principal of Li Po Chun United World College (“UWC") of Hong Kong, part of the UWC worldwide network of 18 schools and colleges, Dr. Edwards obtained his EdD in Educational Leadership at the Education University of Hong Kong and has deep expertise in system leadership and, specifically, the role that leadership plays in impacting student achievement.

Dr. Edwards steered the growth of LPCUWC over the past 12 years, reaching numerous development milestones. Under his leadership, LPCUWC achieved tremendous success in fundraising every year to support students’ education through scholarships, delivering state-of-the-art learning and teaching experiences, and implementing innovative projects such as the establishment of the largest solar panel project in a Hong Kong school.

Dr. Edwards currently sits on the Board of AFS Hong Kong, which sends Hong Kong students overseas for a year and hosts overseas students at local schools through host families. He was also Contributor to UWC educational system as UWC International Board member, Chair of UWC Heads Committee, task force member for establishment of a new UWC school, along with other UWC Board positions.

Prior to joining LPCUWC, Dr. Edwards was Vice Principal at King George V School of the English Schools Foundation (“ESF”) in Hong Kong where he led the introduction and adoption of the International Baccalaureate (“IB”) Diploma programme.

Dr. Edwards received his BSc in Economic and Social History and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Bristol. He achieved his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the Education University of Hong Kong (“EdUHK”) before obtaining a Principal Certificate from the Education Bureau, Hong Kong SAR.

Geoffrey Tsang

Managing Director Executive Office

As Managing Director of the Executive Office of CTF Education Group (CTFEG), Geoffrey Tsang works closely with CTFEG Group President and Deputy Vice Chairwoman to support the Group’s schools and other project initiatives.

With a 12-year tenure at UBS, Geoffrey has held several senior roles in business management, spearheading multiple growth projects. In his most recent position, he played a pivotal role in the UBS Global Family Office and Institutional Wealth segment, providing essential support to the private banking team in client coverage and front-to-back operations.

Geoffrey's professional journey began as a Management Trainee at Standard Chartered Bank, and his final role at Standard Chartered Bank revolved around strategic initiatives. Following his achievements there, he was recruited by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a management consultant. During his tenure at BCG, Geoffrey successfully led various projects across different sectors, showcasing his expertise in market assessment, strategy formulation and execution, integration management, and business development. Additionally, he led a strategic customer-centric programme and made significant impact during his tenure as Vice President and Program Director at the Strategic Initiatives Office of American International Assurance Company (AIA).

Geoffrey is a CFA charterholder, and obtained his undergraduate education from The University of British Columbia, Canada, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from The Kellogg School of Management, where he completed the One Year Accelerated Programme, specialising in Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Management & Organisation.

Beyond his professional achievements, Geoffrey treasures his role as a father to three children. He enjoys spending quality time with his son and daughters, all of whom are alumni of Victoria Educational Organisation.

What data do we collect and process
For enquiries, CTFEG collects the following data for the purpose of communication:

If you register for CTFEG’s services, we may obtain additional data such as the following to facilitate the provision of CTFEG ’s services:
- name, contact information (telephone, fax and mobile number, postal and email addresses);
- applicant information (such as date of birth and other information on identification documents (such as identity card and passport);
- video/audio recordings and photographs from which you and/or your child may be identified;
- academic information;
- billing information, transaction and credit card information;
- information about your family, personal interests, experiences with our services, programmes or products; and
- records of correspondence between you and us.
Purpose and legal basis of collection
CTFEG collects your data for the purposes of:
- providing our services, programmes and products to you;
- processing your application/enrolment of our services, programmes and/or products;
- responding to your application/enrolment of our services, programmes and/or products;
- (subject to your consent) offering you our services, programmes and products, including sending you marketing and promotional materials relating to our services, programmes and products;
- (subject to your consent) conducting joint promotion events, including sending you marketing and promotional materials in relation to education-related products, services and/or businesses of our holding companies, subsidiaries and affiliated organisations and entities operating in education and related services, hospitality, insurance, healthcare services (“Affiliates”);
- facilitating the enrolment in and managing, and providing services, programmes and products under club membership subscriptions of clubs set up and maintained by CTFEG, which allow members to subscribe to various events, seminars and podcasts organised and/or provided by the CTFEG and to purchase educational products of the CTFEG;
- responding to your service requests, enquiries and complaints;
- conducting surveys, research and analysis for improvement of our services, programmes and products and our websites; and
- making such disclosures as required by law.
Please note that it is obligatory for you to provide the personal data that we request. If you do not provide such personal data, we may not be able to provide our services, programmes and products to you.
Recipients of personal data
We may disclose and/or transfer your personal data to third parties (within or outside Hong Kong) to fulfil the purpose of collection, including without limitation to:
- members of CTFEG and third parties (within or outside Hong Kong) engaged by us, for or in connection with the purposes specified in paragraph 2 above, including any agent, contractor, or third party service provider who provides administrative, legal, telecommunications, computer, payment, data processing or other services to CTFEG; and
- any competent court of law, law enforcement agencies and/or regulators and government departments for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protection of our legal rights.
We may also disclose and/or transfer your personal data to our Affiliates. If your personal data will be used by our Affiliates for direct marketing purposes, we will obtain your prior consent.
Duration of processing
CTFEG will retain any personal data collected for the duration required to fulfil the original purpose of collection. For enquires, if there are no follow-up questions or registration pertaining to CTFEG’s services, your personal data will be retained for 3 months. For registration purposes, your personal data will be retained only for so long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose for which the data is or is to be used, and generally speaking, your personal data will be retained for a maximum of 7 years, unless we are under any legal obligation to retain the same for a longer period.
