The Queen Elizabeth Stadium was filled with joy and excitement on 17-18 June 2025, as Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO) hosted its 60th Graduation Ceremony and the Joint Campus Music Concert in celebration of its six decades of educational excellence in early childhood education.
Over 1,500 VEO students, parents, principals, teachers, and distinguished guests gathered at the three sessions of the Graduation Ceremony to share the joy of the Class of 2025. Nearly 500 graduates received heartfelt and inspiring words from the Guests of Honour: Dr Choi Yuk-lin, JP, Secretary for Education; Ms Guo Jingjing, Olympic Diving Champion; and Ms Judy Chen, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, providing enormous encouragement as the VEO Graduates embark on their primary school journey.
The Graduation Ceremony also marked a significant milestone – VEO’s 60th anniversary. “Since its inception, VEO has championed bilingual, child-centred kindergarten education across Hong Kong,” said Mrs Jennifer Yu Cheng, Supervisor of VEO, in her welcome speech. “For 60 years, we have grown, evolved, and innovated – but always stayed true to one belief: to foster children with curiosity, confidence, and compassion.”
Student performances were the highlight of the Graduation Ceremony. Graduates from VEO’s eight campuses lit up the stage with a variety of vibrant performances, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The celebration continued with the Joint Campus Music Concert held on the evening of 18 June 2025. Ninety young talents from the VEO Joint Campus Choir and Strings Programme showcased their musical growth alongside their alumni as well as professional musicians. The young musicians impressed the audience with their passion and skills.
To commemorate its diamond jubilee, VEO also hosted an unprecedented Art and Learning Exhibition – “A Journey of Growth” earlier in March 2025 at K11 MUSEA’s Art & Cultural Centre, showcasing around 3,000 artworks and IB Primary Years Foundation projects created by VEO students aged 2 to 6 years old from Pre-Nursery to K3.
Since its establishment in 1965, VEO has remained committed to nurturing young learners in an innovative learning environment where they can reach their full potential. Looking ahead, VEO will continue to provide meaningful learning experiences and cultivate future-ready, lifelong learners.
